Life has made him a marked man. Herr Trut’s personality is not a treat for eye if you only like distinguished respectability. With his imperial look, the old gentleman explores his surroundings.

He is especially interested in things that can’t bear the light of day. The spry old man sometimes seems to lose his humanity and turn into a turkey. Shameless cackling will ring through the streets. It is his escape from reality which may end in shame. He tries to save his face, but whether he will succeed….
Herr Trut is a new development in the theatre of Frans Custers. The elements of street theatre, Butoh dance and fools are joined for the first time in this act. The performance moves back and forth between authentic realistic and absurd abstract.
